The new Domcenter was completed at the end of May, just in time for the 100th anniversary of St. Mary's Cathedral in Linz. In future, this 120 square meter space will serve as a central point of contact for visitors, a meeting point for guided tours of the cathedral, a ticket sales point and a reception area for events. The Domcenter not only offers special insights into the sacred, liturgical, pastoral and cultural dimensions of St. Mary's Cathedral, but also showcases the cathedral's unique stained glass windows in a new light.
As part of the project, HAINZL Gebäudetechnik was responsible for the low-voltage distribution, the high- and low-current installations and the LAN cabling. In addition to these basic installations, innovative lighting systems and emergency lighting were also installed, the bell control system was renewed and further exhibition areas were connected to the system. Finally, a load management system was integrated in order to monitor and control the system efficiently.
Even after completion of the project, HAINZL Gebäudetechnik remains a reliable partner of Austria's largest church: in the Mariendom project, we are responsible for the entire electrical engineering support of the Mariendom. Our ongoing efforts and commitment ensure that the Mariendom will retain both its historical significance and its modern functionality.
